As a fourth generation Texan, Randy has seen the vast development of the greater Houston area and has measured nearly every corner along the way. His surveying career began in 1971 with Edminister/Hinshaw & Assoc., and he also worked with McLean & Assoc, Wilkinson Engineering and Survcon, Inc. before developing his own operation in 1982.
With more than 35 years of surveying experience and community leadership, Randy has had a front-row seat of Fort Bend County’s growth and prosperity. He has served as President of TSPS Gulf Coast Chapter, President of Cinco M.U.D. No. 7., was a Charter Member and the Director of the Exchange Club of Sugar Land and has been a member of many other local community and non-profit organizations.
Randy’s current role at Tejas is management, commercial surveying, GPS control, highway projects, subdivision platting, and engineering-related projects.
He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1982, not long before Hakeem Olajuwon would put the Cougars on the map. When he’s out of the office, he spends time with his wife, Pam and catching up with their six children and three grandchildren. On the weekend, you can find him cheering on the Astros, Cougars, Longhorns, Skeeters and Texans.
